The Agriculture Program aims to strengthen food security, improve nutrition, and enhance livelihoods by supporting smallholder farmers with practical resources, agribusiness skills, and food processing capacity. The program prioritizes women and youth while promoting sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices.
Key Interventions
- Agricultural Assistance Program for Farmers
Provides smallholder farmers with access to essential inputs, technical support, and sustainable farming methods to increase productivity and resilience. The program supports improved crop yields, household food security, and environmentally responsible farming.
- Agribusiness Training for Farmers
Builds farmers’ capacity to operate agriculture as a viable business through training in farm management, financial literacy, value-chain development, and market access. This intervention increases income generation and economic sustainability.
- Food Processing Training Programs
Enhances value addition and post-harvest management by training participants in food processing, preservation, packaging, and food safety standards. The program reduces food loss, improves nutrition, and creates employment opportunities, particularly for women and youth.
